1 yellow or red onion

½ cup chives, chopped

1 cup dill, chopped

4 potatoes, boiled, peeled and cubed

2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped

1 can Anchovis, chopped; reserve some of the liquid

A pinch of black pepper

Grädfill (crème frâiche) – optional

Freshly-ground black pepper



Place all the ingredients into a bowl and stir gently but well. Stir in enough liquid to make a soft mixture.

Add the pepper and crème fraiche to taste. The crème makes it taste less “fishy”.

Chill in the frig before serving.

Serve the mixture spread onto pieces of whole wheat bread or knäckerbröd (crisp bread.)
